VanCleave named president of Ameritas Group

Alumnus Ken VanCleave

Business administration alumnus Ken VanCleave was elected president of Ameritas Group, a division of Ameritas Life Insurance Corp.  

He joined Ameritas in 1989 as vice president – group marketing. VanCleave was elected senior vice president in 2001.  

A graduate of Southern Illinois University, VanCleave earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration. He served six years in the United States Navy aboard nuclear submarines.  

In the Lincoln community, VanCleave serves on the boards of the Junior Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) and March of Dimes. He also serves on the First Ameritas Life Insurance Corp. of New York and LifeRe Insurance board of directors.  He is a delegate for the National Association of Dental Plans and former chair of its legislative committee.
