Beck donates to children's organization

Accounting alumnus Bill Beck, President and CEO of Beck Bus Transportation Corp.

Bill Beck, accounting alumnus, School of Accountancy External Advisory Board member, Rehn Society member, 2007 Southern Business Journal “Leader Among Us” and president and CEO of Beck Bus Transportation Corp., donated a bus to The Lincoln’s Challenge Academy for troubled teens in Rantoul.

The bus will be used at the academy which is located on an old air force base. “My satisfaction is seeing young adults that want to make something of themselves being helped in a positive manner to becoming a part of our society that is productive,” said Beck. “Each one that we put on the right path is one that we do not have to support by unemployment or in jail.”

Beck credits Illinois Chamber Executive Vice President and COO Michael Ayers with introducing him to the group. “There are just not enough kind words to say about Bill and his generosity,” said Ayers. “To have someone make a donation of this kind is so incredible.”
