Ken Hannah, College of Business alumnus, Hall of Famer and Dean’s External Advisory Board member was named one of Treasury & Risk magazine’s 2007 “Top 40 Executives Under 40.”

“I am extremely honored and humbled to be recognized with this outstanding group of finance professionals,” said Hannah, senior vice president and chief financial officer of MEMC Electronic Materials Inc., a $2 billion global leader in the production and sale of semiconductor and solar wafers based in St. Peters, Mo.

Hannah, 39, was profiled in an October cover story titled “Upwardly Mobile Finance Execs” which named “Corporate America’s rising finance stars under the age of 40.”  A resource for senior financial executives covering all areas of corporate finance, Treasury & Risk magazine is a highly respected national publication.  Magazine editors went looking for its “Top 40” by contacting finance departments and treasuries, consultants and executive search firms.  They considered the responsibilities candidates shouldered, which organizations they could list on their resumes and what projects they undertook in their various jobs.

No stranger to Treasury & Risk’s editorial staff, Hannah was photographed and interviewed for the magazine’s September cover story about “The Ins and Outs of Insourcing.”

Hannah came to MEMC in 2006.  Prior to that, he served as senior vice president of operations for the $91 billion retailer The Home Depot Inc., where he was responsible for operations in the U.S., Mexico and Canada.  Hannah also held positions at Boeing and General Electric.

Originally from Royalton, Hannah holds a bachelor of finance from SIU College of Business and an MBA from St. Louis University.
