Accounting alumnus Dale Black spoke during a financial conference at John A. Logan College in June. Black is executive vice president and chief financial officer of Trump Entertainment Resorts which includes Trump's three Atlantic City casinos.
A native of Bluford in Jefferson County, Black offered tips on how to make it big in the business world and his "keys to success." Black graduated with a degree in accounting from SIU in 1984.
Black started at Trump in 2005 after 12 years at Argosy Gaming Company, serving most recently as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, a position he held since April 1998. Black began his career with Arthur Andersen, and remained with them until 1991. He served as Corporate Controller for a national manufacturing company from July 1991 until April 1993, when he joined Argosy as Vice President and Corporate Controller. |
