Resume Ricochet, Part 2
There is an excellent article in BusinessWeek about designing your resume to impress even the most jaded recruiters. Remember - the purpose of a resume is NOT to get a job, but to get an interview (where your winning personality should be used to get the job).
From the article: ‘On the other hand, if you’re fresh out of college and looking for your first real job, personal experiences ought to be fleshed out a little more. Semesters studying abroad, Eagle Scout honors, volunteering for Habitat for Humanity—this is the kind of personal information you should be offering. These experiences will help set you apart from other novices…’
It’s an excellent read, for both college students and Alumni who might be out looking for that new career. Check it out here.
